Cloud Engineer - Software, Full Stack Developer
Overview
We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team in Lowell, MA. This role focuses on building end-to-end web applications that interface with our AWS-based IoT platform. You will develop both user-facing web applications and the cloud-backed services that power them, working across frontend, backend, and AWS infrastructure to deliver real-time monitoring and control systems for emergency communication devices.
This is an onsite role in Lowell, MA (no remote).U.S. work authorization required
- Define and support the design and development of AWS Cloud-based applications for intelligent emergency reporting systems and devices
- Build real-time applications that interact with physical devices via MQTT and AWS IoT Core
- Configure and maintain basic AWS infrastructure (Cloud Watch, logging, alarms, deployments)
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and mobile teams to deliver cohesive system functionality
- Participate in architecture discussions and help evolve system design
- Strong experience building full-stack web applications
- Experience with React, Angular, or Vue
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive UI design
- Backend experience with Node.js
- Experience working with APIs (REST or Graph
QL) - Cloud / AWS Experience (important but not dominant)
- Experience with AWS services such as:
- Lambda
- API Gateway
- DynamoDB
- IoT Core
- Familiarity with event-driven or serverless architectures
- Basic experience with Cloud Watch, logging, and monitoring
- Understanding of deployment workflows (CI/CD is a plus)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field is required. Master's degree in related fields would be a plus
- 2+ years’ experience in Software development in a product oriented environment
