Position Overview

Magna New Mobility is seeking a Senior Software Engineer‑ Backend to oversee the development of our core software product. As a Senior Software Engineer with cloud experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server‑side components of our applications. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and secure. Your expertise in cloud platforms will be crucial in optimizing our infrastructure and deploying solutions that leverage cloud‑native features.

• Design & Development:
  Develop robust, scalable, and high‑performance backend systems and APIs. Design and implement server‑side logic and integrate with front‑end components.
• Cloud Integration:
  Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to deploy, manage, and scale applications. Implement cloud‑based solutions for storage, computing, and networking.
• Database Management:
  Design and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance. Work with both SQL and No

• Security:
  Implement and maintain security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Performance Optimization:
  Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Monitor application performance and implement improvements as needed.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work with product managers, front‑end developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshooting:
  Diagnose and resolve issues related to backend systems and cloud infrastructure. Provide support for production environments and ensure high availability.

• 7+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on cloud technologies required.
• Bachelor's degree or Equivalent Experience in computer science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field required. Masters Degree preferred.
• Experience with Microservices:
  Knowledge and experience with microservices architecture.

  Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Go lang, Python, Node.js, C/C++ or Java. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, Cloud Formation). Fundamental understanding on distributed systems.
