THE POSITION
Join the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) as a Clerk Typist 3 and help support important services for older adults in the community. This position handles clerical and secretarial tasks for the agency and fiscal department, including preparing documents and worksheets for routine reports. The role also includes maintaining office records, assisting with phone calls, and greeting consumers who visit the agency.

This position supports the financial and administrative functions that help the agency serve consumers efficiently. The work involves processing payments, organizing records, reviewing information, and assisting staff across different areas. As a Clerk Typist 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Invoice Work:
Process invoices for payment and prepare vouchers while maintaining an accurate voucher register - Accounting Support:
Assist in entering data in the automated accounting system to prepare consumer co-pay invoices using a sliding scale - Payment Handling:
Record and deposit consumer co-pays and donations with attention to accuracy and completeness - Data Review:
Analyze data to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance with rules and regulations - Inventory Tasks:
Conduct an annual physical inventory inspection to support inventory control processes - Administrative Assistance:
Assist with simple research for grants, budgets, reports, audits, payroll preparation, and staff support
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 2, and educational development to the level of completion of high school; or
- One year of progressively complex clerical typing experience and completion of high school; or
- Six months of moderately complex clerical typing work and completion of a post high school business curriculum; or
- Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Carbon County. If no eligible candidates who live within Carbon County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
