This position focuses on providing dental hygiene treatments and supporting daily clinical operations at SCI Camp Hill. It requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to deliver effective preventive care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will perform the following duties:

• Hygiene Procedures:
  Perform periodontal probing, scaling, root planning, polishing, and apply fluorides or sealants
• Clinical Preparation:
  Prepare work spaces, sterilize instruments, and set up patients for treatment
• Oral Screening:
  Conduct oral screenings and record all findings

  Education:
  
  Explain preventive care and provide guidance on oral hygiene and nutrition
• Radiograph Processing:
  Expose, process, mount, and evaluate dental radiographs for diagnostic use
• Record Management:
  File and retrieve dental records and ensure they follow required procedures

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

  In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.
• Additional pay will be considered for those who currently possess or obtain licensure as a Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry. Documentation will need to be provided at interview to receive additional pay consideration.

• You must possess a license to practice as a dental hygienist as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
