Job Description: Four Diamonds Mini-THON® is an opportunity for high school students to be empowered as leaders in the fight to conquer childhood cancer. Students gain work-related skills in communication, critical thinking and problem solving while promoting teamwork, creativity, and spirit within their schools.
Qualifications- Experience: Working with high school students on developing teamwork, fundraising, and communication skills.
- Skills: Excellent organization, communication, and planning skills.
- Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Developing a student leadership team to coordinate all activities prior to the Mini Thon event.
- Creating and executing strategies to increase fundraising prior to Mini Thon.
- Articulating For The Kid’s values and needs through formal and informal communication to all stakeholders.
- Attending meetings and coordinating schedules for students and stakeholders.
- Attendance and supervision at events.
- Teaching students how to use online and traditional ways to advertise the cause and how to donate.
- Contributing to the creation of content for blogs, newsletters, emails, and online resources to promote Mini-Thon.
- Ensuring the Mini Thon event is educational, enjoyable, and efficient.
- Working with the team to develop event curriculum and presentation materials.
- Other duties as assigned by Administration.
- Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.
Frequency of meetings: 2–3 meetings/week, November through March.
Approximate number of students enrolled: TBD.
Clearances: In accordance with the school code, Act 24 and all related clearances.
