The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine atthe University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.
Expertise is required in the specific area of OCD and other anxiety-related disorders. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.
Licensure to deliver psychotherapy is required.
- Teaching responsibilities may include teaching of research assistants, practicum students, psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows, and psychiatry residents.
- Teaching responsibilities will include a combination of research and clinically relevant teaching duties in the form of mentorship, supervision, and formaldidactics.
- Clinical responsibilities may include provision of cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety-related disorders across the lifespan with a focus on adults, as well as conducting diagnostic intake evaluations.
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include submission of extramural and intramural grant applications to the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and/or National Science Foundation.
- In addition, the role comes with the expectation of leading and serving in a support role for scientific publications and presentations.
- The ideal candidate will be abletoindependently lead a program of research focused on the etiology,maintenance, treatment and prevention of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
