Vacancy InformationSt Edmund’s Nursery School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Early Years SEND Support Worker on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will be passionate about working with young children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Our ‘Resourced Provision’ is fully included within our outstanding Nursery School and provides care and education for children with various, often very complex needs and disabilities. You will work with children (and also with their families) who have physical disabilities, sensory impairments, speech and language difficulties, learning difficulties, autism, social, emotional and
mental health needs, or have a combination of these needs.
The role will be demanding but highly rewarding and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and expertise working closely with an experienced SEND and Early Years team, supported by the SENDCO, in our forward thinking, outstanding
nursery school.
The successful candidate will:
- Be enthusiastic, creative and committed to giving our young children the very best start in life
- Have experience of working with children 0-5 in an early years setting or school
- Have a calm, confident and patient manner
- Be a good communicator with the ability to work closely with families and outside agencies
- Be flexible and able to work effectively as a member of a team
- Promote the federation’s vision, ethos and high expectations
