Senior​/Principal Process Engineer

Metric Bio are partnered with an innovative Drug Product CDMO that is looking to appoint a Senior/Associate/Principal Process Engineer to join its growing team, on site in Pennsylvania.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex process engineering challenges and taking novel drug delivery technologies from development through to commercial manufacture.

In this role, you'll lead process design and optimisation for advanced polymeric drug delivery platforms, drive scale-up activities from laboratory and pilot scale to commercial manufacturing, support technology transfer, and work closely with formulation scientists, analytical teams, engineering colleagues, and equipment vendors to deliver robust, scalable manufacturing processes.

• 2–7+ years of industrial experience in pharmaceutical process engineering or manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience developing and scaling polymeric drug delivery systems, particularly hydrogels and/or microspheres.
• Experience with process scale-up, technology transfer, and process validation.
• A strong understanding of cGMP and FDA regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with experience investigating manufacturing issues and implementing process improvements.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and manage external vendors.
