The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Supervisor leads environmental planning efforts for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, interpreting regulations, developing policies, and coordinating with internal and external partners to integrate environmental standards into transportation projects statewide. The role involves supervising environmental planners, providing technical guidance on environmental matters, managing training and development, and ensuring compliance with NEPA and Act 120 requirements.
This is a full-time civil service position based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, with possible part-time telework options.
- Two years of experience as an Environmental Planner 2 or equivalent federal job title
- Six years of professional experience in local, regional, or state environmental planning
- Master's degree in planning or environmental sciences with three years of progressively responsible environmental planning experience
- PA residency requirement
- Ability to perform essential job functions
