Job Description Responsibilities
Serves as the overall technical lead and primary customer-facing resource for the Data Platform Modernization initiative. Responsible for migration planning, environment assessment, dependency analysis, implementation strategy, stakeholder engagement, work planning, and oversight of migration activities.
Leads discovery and technical decision-making; validates requirements and application dependencies; develops migration, cutover, rollback, testing, and production validation approaches; and provides hands-on support throughout migration execution and stabilization. Coordinates closely with client technical resources to minimize disruption to critical applications and services.
Provides strategic guidance throughout the migration and roadmap development phases and supports development of modernization recommendations, implementation approaches, timelines, budgets, and executive-level deliverables.
Required Qualifications- Microsoft SQL Server administration, upgrade, and migration
- Hands-on enterprise SQL Server migration execution
- Migration planning, cutover, rollback, and production validation
- Application and database dependency analysis
- Application compatibility and integration planning
- Enterprise application modernization
- Technical project leadership and work planning
- Infrastructure and integration planning
- Stakeholder facilitation and customer-facing communication
- Solution architecture and technical assessment
- Development of technology roadmaps and implementation plans
- Technical documentation and executive-level communication
- SQL Server 2025 migration experience
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- IIS-hosted and custom .NET application environments
- Linked Server and external system integrations
- Data governance and data management initiatives
Experience working in regulated or sensitive-data environments - Healthcare or education-sector technology experience
