Position Summary
The Mechanical Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving equipment throughout the retread manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring plant equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support production goals and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with industrial machinery, and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- $20 per hour

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing equipment and machinery throughout the retread facility.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other production systems.
- Respond to equipment failures and identify root causes to implement effective solutions.
- Complete work orders, maintenance records, and related documentation accurately and timely.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Work collaboratively with production and management teams to support operational objectives.
- Support company Core Values, quality standards, and plant performance goals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
- Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, mechanical repair, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of bearings, motors, conveyors, pumps, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and other manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, equipment drawings, and maintenance documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, and working throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Ability to work around moving machinery and in varying production environments.
- Capability to perform maintenance activities requiring moderate physical exertion and manual dexterity.
