Job Details
Work with other members of the clinical team to deliver quality nursing care to our infusion patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Execute medication regimens prescribed by licensed physicians and administer non‑chemo medications—including blood products, IV fluids, vaccines, etc.—followed by medication teaching to patients prior to administration. Provide service to a broad age range from young adults to frail elderly, demonstrating sensitivity to functional/developmental needs.
Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications and non‑chemo drugs per physician/APP orders.
- Conduct medication teaching for patients before administration.
- Assist ambulatory patients with supportive care during treatment (67‑100% of the time).
- Use IV pumps, pheresis equipment, blood‑pressure machines, and other clinical devices.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and respectful demeanor toward patients, guests, volunteers, colleagues, and supervisors.
- BSN required.
- 3–5 years nursing experience in a clinical setting.
- Active RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Sitting, standing, walking, and maneuvering with agility and dexterity.
- Near vision, depth perception, and color vision required for operating video display terminals.
- Hearing required for normal conversation and telephone communication.
- Occupational exposure to chemotherapy drugs, blood/body fluids.
