Techo-Bloc is a leading manufacturer in high-end pavers and concrete landscaping products across North America. We’re looking for dynamic Industrial Maintenance Technicians to keep our manufacturing equipment operating at peak performance.

In this position, you'll work with a variety of heavy industrial machinery, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, performing repairs, and executing preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. Every day brings new challenges, requiring technical expertise, quick thinking, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Pay

$33–$42/hr base pay (based on experience) + year end bonus. Additional $6/hr shift differential for Friday–Sunday hours worked (starting at 5:00 AM).

Work Schedules

Option 1:
Fri–Mon 4:30 AM – 4:30 PM (or 5am-5pm)

Location

Douglassville, PA (Serving Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Exeter, Birdsboro, Boyertown, Limerick and surrounding areas)

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot using electrical schematics and multimeter/megger to diagnose electrical issues
  • Properly size components and cabling for new electrical systems
  • Read and understand wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits; IO's, OL's, contractors, relays, break resisters and other electrical components
  • Maintain, install, troubleshoot VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and augers
  • Test malfunctioning machinery, identify parts needed and complete repairs
  • Repair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.)
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment to minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pressure issues, large cylinders, sensors, proportional valves, solenoids & pumps
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
  • Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required

Skills and Abilities
  • 3+ years’ experience working in Industrial Maintenance or relevant field
  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance working with both electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical components (IOs, OLs, contractors, relays, break resisters and other electrical components)
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems
  • Able to use multimeter, megger, and other test equipment
  • Experience in heavy industrial mechanical repairs; rigging, welding & fabrication preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting/set up of VFD drives; SEW drives, Siemens, Lenze, & Allen Bradley
  • Proficient with use of power tools, measuring devices, lathe and/or milling machinery
  • Collaborative;

Physical Requirements

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Must be able to closely inspect and continually monitor all machines in the production process. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move throughout the facility. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear and smell.

The employee is occasionally required to remain stationary; ascend and descend steps and ladders; and position self in tight spaces.
