This position plays a key role in maintaining, repairing, and improving electrical systems throughout the hospital. It supports safe operations through skilled planning, troubleshooting, and hands‑on work. As an Electrician 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Project Planning: Review blueprints and determine the layout, sequence, and methods needed for electrical tasks
- System Installation: Install wiring, conduits, fixtures, and components for new construction and renovation projects
- Technical Troubleshooting: Identify electrical issues and work with technicians or contractors to resolve complex problems
- Work Oversight: Guide and instruct trainees and other employees during repair and installation work
- Record Maintenance: Update technical drawings and records to reflect changes made during projects
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety practices when using ladders, lift equipment, and protective gear

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full‑time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Overtime & Travel: as needed.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.

- Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
or - Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment;
or - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This position requires possession of a valid license as a journey-level electrician issued by the local Pennsylvania jurisdiction.
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
