Help Connect Neighbors to Housing ResourcesCompensation: $16.82/hour
ACHIEVEability is seeking a Community Housing Connector to engage residents throughout West Philadelphia and help connect them to housing resources, City programs, and community services. If you enjoy working with people, building relationships, and making a direct impact in your community, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do- Conduct door‑to‑door outreach in West Philadelphia neighborhoods.
- Share information about housing and home ownership programs.
- Connect residents with referrals and community resources.
- Assist residents with application and documentation processes.
- Attend community events and represent ACHIEVEability.
- Track outreach activities and resident engagement.
- Gather community feedback and identify housing‑related needs.
- Collaborate with ACHIEVEability staff and City partners.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in community outreach, customer service, social services, housing services, or related fields.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Comfort engaging residents in community settings.
- Basic computer and data‑entry skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable engaging residents door‑to‑door and at community events.
- Ability to use basic technology, including email, spreadsheets, and online systems.
- Experience in community outreach, customer service, housing, social services, or related work.
- Familiarity with West Philadelphia neighborhoods.
- Knowledge of housing resources and community services.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Make a meaningful impact in West Philadelphia communities.
- Gain experience in housing advocacy, outreach, and resident engagement.
- Work alongside passionate community leaders and partners.
- Help residents access resources that strengthen housing stability and quality of life.
- Ability to conduct in‑person, community‑based outreach in Philadelphia, PA, including walking door to door within the assigned Community Housing Connector Service Area.
- Ability to stand, walk, speak, listen, and engage residents during outreach, tabling, trainings, community events, and meetings.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move outreach materials, flyers, event supplies, documents, or equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to use a phone, tablet, computer, electronic portal, or digital reporting/canvassing tool to enter information and track outreach activities.
- Ability to travel locally within the assigned service area for outreach, resident follow‑up, meetings, trainings, and events.
- Ability to work in office, community, residential, and event settings, depending on the needs of the position.
