Christmas Kettle Campaign Coordinator

Lead the Christmas Kettle Campaign with The Salvation Army in your local community. This short-term contract role involves overseeing operations, managing staff, and supporting fundraising efforts during the holiday season.

As a Christmas Kettle Coordinator, you will be responsible for several Kettle locations in shopping malls and stores. Your key tasks will include staffing, supervising volunteers, ensuring safety and security of donations, and coordinating logistics for location setups. Strong leadership and customer service skills are vital for engaging with the public and promoting the campaign's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Kettle operations at various locations

• Supervise and support staff and volunteers

• Ensure security and proper handling of donations

• Organize schedules and cover shifts for staff

• Communicate effectively with the supervisor about issues

Requirements:

• 1-2 years in customer service or management

• Volunteer coordination experience preferred

• Ability to handle money and secure donations

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 Driver’s License required
