Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a Contract basis in Lubbock, Texas. This role requires expertise in managing accounts payable processes and proficiency in Sage accounting software. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in industries such as food and beverage, hospitality, or concessions, and will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting essential accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Support month-end close activities by preparing necessary reports and reconciling accounts.

- Assist in maintaining and reconciling inventory records to ensure accurate financial data.

- Utilize Sage accounting software to manage financial operations and reporting.

- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

- Provide support for audits and financial reviews as needed.

- Help streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

- Handle additional accounting tasks as required during peak workload periods. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and general accounting practices.

- Proficiency in Sage accounting software.

- Familiarity with inventory reconciliation and financial reporting.

- Previous experience in food and beverage, hospitality, or similar industries.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards.
