Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Auditor role based in Lubbock, TX. The Auditor will perform financial and compliance audits, including planning engagements, testing internal controls, and evaluating accounting records and supporting documentation. Daily responsibilities include preparing work papers, analyzing financial statements, identifying findings, and assisting in the preparation of audit reports and recommendations. The role involves working directly with client personnel, ensuring adherence to professional standards, and meeting engagement timelines.
The Auditor will collaborate with colleagues and partners to maintain high-quality service and support ongoing improvements in firm processes.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Ability to analyze financial data, assess internal controls, and document audit procedures clearly and accurately.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and accounting software; comfort learning new audit tools and technologies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; eligibility or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Lubbock, TX and collaborate in a team-oriented public accounting environment.
- Prior public accounting or audit internship experience
