Position OverviewBrandon & Clark, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Accounting team in Lubbock, Texas. This position is responsible for both accounts payable and accounts receivable/invoicing functions, ensuring vendor invoices and customer billing are processed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate brings a solid accounting background, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable / Invoicing
- Submit customer invoices through customer billing portals such as Ariba and Open Invoice.
- Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
- Investigate and resolve invoicing and billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Match vendor purchase orders to corresponding vendor invoices.
- Process vendor invoices accurately and on time.
Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding or unmatched items. - Identify and resolve payment and statement discrepancies promptly.
- Minimum of five years of recent, relevant accounting experience.
- Solid accounting background with a strong understanding of both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Experience submitting customer invoices through billing portals such as Ariba and Open Invoice.
- Strong accounts payable experience, including purchase-order-to-invoice matching and vendor statement reconciliation.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ability to remain stationary and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for regular use of a keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment.
- Visual acuity to review documents and data on screen and in print.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Standard climate-controlled office environment.
- Regular use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment.
- Primarily an in-office position based at the Lubbock, Texas location.
