POSITION TITLE
Deposit Admin Specialist (Full Time) - Lubbock, Ave. Q – Lubbock Annex, Lubbock, TX
POSITION PURPOSEResponsible for editing and maintaining legal account documents, scanning and indexing deposit account signature cards and other documents. Understands requirements and documentation needed for all types of deposit accounts. Provides assistance to branch personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES- Assumes responsibility for the completion of assigned Deposit Administration functions.
- Edits deposit account legal documentation
- Scans and indexes deposit account signature cards and other documents
- Maintains weekly exception report
- Assists branches with account setup
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relations with internal departments.
- Answers questions and resolves requests or problems promptly and courteously
- Informs contacts of bank policies and procedures
- Maintains confidentiality
- Maintains the bank's professional reputation
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and communication with bank personnel and management.
- Assists related departments as required
- Supports and occasionally replaces Deposit Administration personnel as needed
- Keeps management informed of area activities and significant problems; provides suggestions for improved effectiveness and efficiency
- Attends and participates in meetings; completes required reports and related documents
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Stays informed of changes in Deposit Administration policies, procedures, and requirements
- Ensures work area is clean, secure, and well maintained
- Completes special projects as assigned
- Assists with department administration
- Resolves more complex issues presented to the department
- Acts as department lead on projects when needed with minimal supervision
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge: Operational understanding of deposit account documentation.
Experience
Required:
Preferred 2-3 years of bank operations or related experience.
Skills/Abilities: Accurate and attentive to detail; well organized; willingness to assist others; proficient with Excel, Outlook, Word, and related applications; strong communication abilities; independent problem solving; regular attendance required.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION- Finger Dexterity: Typing and manipulative tasks requiring fine finger movements
- Talking: Ability to convey detailed instructions clearly
- Average Hearing: Ability to hear in ordinary conversations
- Repetitive Motion: Frequent movements of wrists, hands, and fingers
- Average Visual Abilities: Visual acuity to prepare or inspect documents
- Physical Strength: Sedentary work; negligible physical exertion; may lift up to 10 lbs occasionally
None: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (typical office environment).
MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION- Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions and solve problems with a few variables
- Mathematics Ability: Perform basic math; use decimals to compute ratios and percentages
- Language Ability: Read materials and prepare memos/reports with proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar; communicate clearly with appropriate tone and tense
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. 40 hours per week.
