Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Automotive Technician role based in Lubbock, TX. The Automotive Technician will perform routine maintenance services, including inspections, oil changes, fluid checks, and tire services. The role includes diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing automotive repairs, and performing suspension and undercarriage work on a variety of vehicles, including diesel. Responsibilities also include using diagnostic tools, documenting work performed, communicating clearly with service staff and customers, and following safety and quality standards.

The technician will help maintain an organized, clean work area and may assist with test drives and final quality checks to ensure vehicles are repaired correctly.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, including inspections, diagnostics, and general service work.
  • Hands-on experience with Oil Changes and related routine services such as filter replacement and fluid checks.
  • Proficiency in Automotive Repair across multiple systems (engine, brakes, electrical, drivetrain) with an ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Suspension systems, including components inspection, repair, and replacement.
  • Experience with diesel engines or a willingness to learn diesel service and repair is preferred.
  • Relevant technical training, certification, or vocational education in automotive technology is beneficial (e.g., ASE certifications or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and follow repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins, and to use modern diagnostic tools.
  • Strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced shop environment.
