Job Title:

Product Manager - Merchant Experience

Location: Remote / Mexico

Hiring Manager: Sarah Hill

About Sezzle:

Sezzle is a cutting-edge fintech company dedicated to financially empowering the next generation. With only one in three millennia ls owning a credit card and the majority lacking their desired credit scores, Sezzle addresses these challenges through a payment platform that offers interest‑free installment plans at online stores. By increasing consumers' purchasing power, Sezzle drives sales and basket sizes for thousands of eCommerce merchants that it partners with.

The salary range for this role is $4,000 - $6,000 per month (Gross in USD)

About the Role:

Sezzle is hiring a Product Manager to own the merchant‑facing surfaces of our platform across the US and Canada. The experiences our retail partners use to integrate with Sezzle, manage their accounts, and get paid. You’ll be the sole product owner for merchant sign‑up, sign‑in, the merchant dashboard, and payouts, working hand‑in‑glove with our Sales and Business Development teams to turn merchant‑acquisition momentum into a product experience that converts, retains, and scales.

These are existing products with real usage and real revenue, and they’re ripe for disruption. We’re looking for a PM who sees that as the opportunity, not the obstacle.

This role is fully remote, based in Colombia or elsewhere in Latin America, with working hours aligned to US Mountain/Central time (roughly 9am–5pm MT core hours).

What you’ll own:
  • You will be the sole PM across the full merchant‑account surface:
    • Merchant onboarding — sign‑up, KYB collection, underwriting touchpoints, time‑to‑go‑live, activation
    • Merchant authentication — sign‑in, SSO, session management, account recovery
    • Merchant dashboard — orders, settlements, reporting, user and role management, self‑serve configuration
    • Merchant payouts — payout scheduling, reconciliation, statements, and dispute visibility (with support from adjacent payments and treasury teams on the underlying rails)
    • The merchant‑side roadmap — quarterly planning, prioritization, and trade‑offs across all four surfaces above

Out of scope: consumer‑facing surfaces, marketplace and dining partner programs, and merchant geographies outside the US and Canada.

How you’ll work — start in Claude, finish in our internal tools:

This is a core expectation of the role, not a perk. You’ll use Claude as your default first tool for:

  • Drafting PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Analyzing merchant funnel data, churn signals, and onboarding drop‑off
  • Prototyping flows and UI before formal Design handoff
  • Drafting merchant‑facing communications, dashboard copy, and Sales enablement material
  • Researching competitor flows and vendor capabilities
  • Reading code in our Git Lab repos and translating engineering changes into product‑ready language

You’ll then transition that work into our production tools:
Jira for tickets and epics, Git Lab for code review context, Figma for design handoff, Slack for cross‑functional collaboration, and Confluence for documentation. Every PM at Sezzle is expected to operate this way. If you’re not comfortable starting in an AI tool and refining from there, this isn’t the right role for you.

Key stakeholders:
  • Engineering and Design — your daily delivery partners
  • Sales (US and Canada) — your primary commercial partner for merchant pipeline, onboarding friction, and merchant retention signal
  • Business Development — for partnership‑driven merchant integrations
  • Merchant Operations and Support — for post‑launch signal and CX feedback loops
  • Adjacent product and engineering teams — payments, treasury, risk, and platform teams who support the underlying rails behind the merchant surface
Integration partners (external)

Third‑party platforms and providers whose APIs and capabilities power parts of the merchant experience

What We Look For:
  • 3–5 years of product management experience shipping B2B or merchant‑facing software at a fintech, marketplace, payments, or SaaS company
  • Strong written and spoken English; comfortable leading conversations with US‑and Canada‑based stakeholders
  • Experience with at least one of: onboarding, dashboard or self‑serve…
