MEP Construction Manager

Edison Smart are partnered with a growing Data Center business located in Lubbock, TX.

We are seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) scopes on a large data center construction project in the Lubbock area.

This role is responsible for planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of MEP systems, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable codes and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of MEP construction from preconstruction through project closeout
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection trades
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets related to MEP scopes
• Lead MEP coordination meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations
• Monitor quality control and ensure systems are installed per design and contract documents
• Identify risks and proactively resolve field issues and constructability challenges
• Support commissioning, testing, and turnover of MEP systems
• Enforce jobsite safety policies and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• 5+ years of experience managing MEP construction on commercial projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Experience with scheduling software and construction management platforms
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and deadlines
