Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for its National Mission Critical team. This role is the critical link between on‑site construction teams and project management leadership, providing ownership of key project administration tasks and increasing autonomy across construction phases.
Responsibilities- Assist the Project Manager with overall project administration from pre‑construction to closeout.
- Lead management of project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
- Prepare and maintain project status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing and controlling the project budget, tracking job costs and labor productivity.
- Prepare detailed bid documents and participate in subcontractor buyout, negotiation and change order processing.
- Serve as a key point of contact for subcontractors, architects, and engineers to resolve day‑to‑day technical issues.
- Assist the Superintendent with schedule development and milestone tracking.
- Participate in jobsite coordination meetings, contributing to problem solving and planning.
- Champion the company’s Safety First culture and quality control standards.
- Lead punch list management and compile final closeout documents, including as‑built drawings and O&M manuals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project management fundamentals.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore or Building Connected.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, solution‑focused mindset with ambition to grow into a Project Manager role.
- Experience in mission‑critical sector projects (e.g., data centers, healthcare, advanced manufacturing).
- Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
