KCBD is looking for a talented editor/associate producer who will edit morning newscasts and assist with producing our morning newscasts. We will invest in, train, and provide opportunities for the winning candidate to grow and prosper.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Be a team player
• Edit and send video for newscasts
• Understand visual storytelling and news ethnics
• Occasionally shoot video for daily news stories
• Gather facts, assist with producing newscasts
• Communicate with newsroom, collaborate with teammates

• Empathy for others. A team-builder, with a dedication to getting it right and serving our community.
• Strong video editing skills
• Knowledge of video sequencing and visual storytelling
• Degree in journalism/communications/English or equivalent background preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Availability to work various hours as breaking news or special events warrant; but understand we have a sizeable staff to spread across all dayparts.
