The Hand Center, a leading solo private surgical practice in Lubbock, TX, is seeking a fellowship‑trained orthopedic hand surgeon to join a busy private practice. The ideal candidate specializes in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery and is committed to delivering the highest level of subspecialty care.
About Us
A thriving, solo Hand Surgeon practice is seeking a new partner to join a successful and well‑established private practice. The Hand Center, founded in 2000 by Dr. Garry Pollock, is the preferred hand provider for the Texas Tech Athletic Department. With Dr. Pollock planning for retirement, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a busy practice with a strong reputation and built‑in referral base.
Opportunities are available to participate with medical students and Orthopedic Residents through Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high‑quality clinical care to patients in an outpatient setting – diagnose, treat, and manage hand, wrist, and elbow conditions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team
- Practice call only, hospital call optional
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Contribute to practice development and growth initiatives
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of orthopedic residency and a hand fellowship
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible preferred
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient‑centered care
- Competitive base salary (MGMA data based on experience) with productivity and/or quality incentives
- Opportunity for ownership at Surgical Specialty Hospital and ASC – relocation assistance and/or signing bonus
- Monday–Thursday clinic days
- Friday optional
- Practice call only, hospital call optional
