Summary:Cook Children's Medical Center seeks a board certified/board eligible child neurologist to join our clinic in Lubbock, Texas. This physician will be responsible for outpatient neurology care at the Lubbock location with inpatient consultations at Covenant Children's Hospital. Subspecialty clinics for epilepsy and movement disorders will be provided monthly by staff from the main campus with telemedicine consultations available for subspecialty care as required.
Call responsibilities will be shared by Cook Children's physicians serving West Texas with additional support from main campus faculty. Salary will be competitive and guaranteed for the first 2 years with potential for performance bonuses after that time. Interested candidates will have faculty appointment and teaching opportunities with Texas Tech providing instruction for medical students and neurology residents.
- Enjoy support from a current faculty of 20-Pediatric Neurologists, 8-Advanced Practice Providers, 3-Pediatric Neurosurgeons, 1 Physiatrist and 4-Neuropsychologists.
- Access to a 10-bed epilepsy monitoring unit and active epilepsy surgery program (average 40 surgeries/yr) with available technologies including 3T and intraoperative-MRI, Magnetoencephalography, PET, SPECT, fMRI, TMS, and HD-EEG on the main campus
- 26-bed state-of-the-art Neuro-Rehabilitation unit located at main campus
- Established comprehensive headache program, stroke program, movement disorder program, and epilepsy program to refer patients
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required.
Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics.
Board certified/Board Eligible in their specialty area.
Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start date).
American Heart Association BLS and PALS.
