Information
TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required.
On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
Texas Tech Physicians Endocrinology and Diabetes Center of Excellence is staffed with highly equipped professionals who havespecific experience treating metabolic disorders in west Texas. Ourproviders are some of the most specialized in the region. Staffedwith leading educators and researchers, TTUHSC strives to accesseffective treatment and reduce risks for patients with a variety ofcomplications. Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Major/EssentialFunctions
- Diagnose and treat hormonal imbalances and disorders.
- Prescribe medications, hormone replacement therapies and lifestyle adjustments for treatment plans.
- Provides ongoing care for diabetes, thyroid diseases,osteoporosis, PCOS, etc..
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
- Documents all services in patient medical record.
- Participates in quality improvement and other patient ca reprograms.
- Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in bedside teaching and lectures for fellows,residents and medical students.
- MD/DO or equivalent.
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
- Completion of, or in the process of completing, an ACGMEaccredited Endocrinology Fellowship.
- Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License.
- Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification.
