The Center serves as a model for early childhood bilingual education, with a particular emphasis on sustaining and developing children's emergent Spanish language practices as a pathway to bilingualism and biliteracy. Through developmentally responsive and culturally sustaining practices, the program supports children's academic, social, emotional, and linguistic growth. In addition to serving young children and families, the Center contributes to the professional preparation and ongoing development of teachers, counselors, and school leaders through partnerships with undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Education.
