ASSISTANT CLINICAL PROFESSOR in SOCIAL WORK
The Orien Levy Woolf Division of Social Work at Texas Woman's University (TWU) invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position (non‑tenure‑track), starting in Fall 2026
. This position is based at the Denton campus, conveniently located 40 miles north of downtown Dallas/Fort Worth.
We seek a dynamic clinician‑educator committed to excellence in teaching and student mentorship. This position is designed for a candidate who brings current Social Work field practice experience into the classroom and contributes to preparing students for ethical, competent, and culturally responsive social work practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in social work practice
- Providing supervision of students in field education
- Integrating current evidence‑based interventions and ethical decision‑making into instruction
- Mentoring students in professional development and licensure preparation
- Collaborating with field agencies and community partners to support student learning
- Participating in service to the program, university, and profession
- Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE‑accredited program with a minimum of two years of post‑master’s practice experience
- A Doctorate in Social Work or a related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with students, faculty, and community partners
- Candidates within 1 year of completing their doctoral degree will also be considered
- Experience working with diverse student populations
