Why This Role MattersAs an Inclusion for Children with Disabilities (ICD) Specialist, you help ensure children with disabilities and diverse developmental needs are fully included in high‑quality early childhood settings statewide. Through technical assistance, training, and relationship‑building, your work supports workforce boards and child care programs in implementing inclusive, developmentally appropriate practices.
This role blends purpose with practice — translating policy and evidence into actionable guidance that builds confidence, capacity, and more inclusive outcomes for children, families, and providers. Statewide travel is a key component of this position.
What You’ll Do- Provide statewide technical assistance to workforce boards and child care programs to promote inclusive practices and ADA‑aligned supports.
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of virtual and in‑person training aligned with grant requirements and best practices.
- Develop and maintain clear, user‑friendly guidance tools, resources, and training materials.
- Build collaborative relationships with workforce boards, providers, internal teams, and external partners.
- Document technical assistance activities and outcomes to support reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in early childhood, special education, or a related field preferred.
- Experience supporting children with disabilities or challenging behaviors in early childhood or related systems.
- Knowledge of inclusive child development practices and early childhood special education concepts.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into practical guidance.
- A demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, teamwork, and CCG’s mission and values.
