The Division of College Access and Community Partnerships is recruiting for one full‑time Division Coordinator. The position is responsible for advancing Victoria College’s mission, supporting the division dean by coordinating college access, including dual credit and correctional education pathways, and ensuring smooth student onboarding.
The role builds strong partnerships with schools, correctional facilities, community organizations, and workforce agencies while supporting outreach events, recruitment activities, and VC’s Career Fair and internship initiatives. The coordinator also guides career exploration by administering assessments and providing career‑readiness support to students and alumni.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, upholding FERPA, contributing to planning and assessment, and collaborating across departments to support division goals.

College Access (Dual Credit & Correctional Education)- Support the dean by serving as the secondary liaison to high schools and correctional facilities.
- Develop and coordinate VC’s correctional education initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with students, families, administrators, and faculty to support college access, advising, and transition services.
- Coordinate all advising and onboarding steps—applications, placement/testing, registration, and orientation—working closely with Student Services.
- Plan and coordinate outreach activities such as information sessions, parent nights, and dual credit events.
- Remain current on best practices and trends in dual credit and correctional education programs and higher education policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, nonprofits, workforce agencies, chambers, and civic groups.
- Represent the division at community events, including advisory boards and initiating and sustaining follow‑up communications that strengthen partnerships.
- Routinely meet with academic and workforce departments to discuss changing industry needs.
- Coordinate year‑round recruiting events, including Victoria College’s annual Career Fair, and seek opportunities for businesses to host on‑campus recruitment events.
- Promote and expand VC’s internship program.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a unified, consistent message to all community partners.
- Administer and interpret career assessments and exploration tools for students and alumni.
- Regularly engage with students and alumni to prepare them for employment recruiting events.
- Support faculty and Student Services with information about local career sectors that can enhance advising conversations and program offerings.
- Maintain confidentiality and apply FERPA rules and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, logs, etc.
- Support the development of unit plans, assessment documentation, and required reporting.
- Seek relevant professional development opportunities.
- Work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of College Access and Community Partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3 years’ experience working in education, student services, community engagement, or a related field.
- Proven communication, relationship‑building, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proven ability to work effectively with varied student populations and community partners.
- Willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel regionally; a valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with dual credit or college access programs.
- Experience in developing or supporting new educational initiatives.
- Familiarity with labor‑market information, community partnerships, or workforce systems.
Primarily days; evenings/weekends as needed for outreach and partner events. Position is located primarily at the Victoria Campus but regional travel is required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle controls, key pads, etc. The employee must sit, stand, and walk as needed, and lift and/or move up to 20‑25 pounds while loading office supplies and paper. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, some color vision, and the ability to adjust focus from documents to computer screen.
Hearing of light to moderate sound is required by this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
