Job Description
Summary:
The Consultant assists others with writing related issues; developmental course writing to professional writing for publication. This position conducts orientation sessions and workshops throughout the year.
Essential Position Functions:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understanding of teaching and learning methodologies.
- Ability to utilize tutorial software and Internet resources. Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent communication skills including active listening.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Ability to demonstrate cooperation and professionalism while maintaining patience and understanding in stressful situations.
- Ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities.
Minimum Qualifications for
Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree, preferably in English.
- One year of teaching experience, preferably in composition, or other relevant work experience preferred.
- Ability to travel between campuses for meetings or position responsibilities.
- Background Check required.
