Position Description

A graduate student in an institution within the Texas Tech University System employed in support of a department or unit responsible for work assigned by the supervisor within the unit or department which utilizes knowledge beyond undergraduate academic studies.

Major / Essential Functions

Actively engage with DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) students, asking questions that will facilitate their understanding, encourage study methods and provide constructive feedback.
Manage tutoring appointments and communicate any schedule changes with all parties involved.
Assist with other tasks related to DPT program functions, faculty, or courses as assigned by the GA supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Enrolled in the graduate program of an institution within the Texas Tech University System.

Preferred Qualifications

2nd year DPT student.

Visa Information

TTUHSC may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case‑by‑case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change‑of‑status or change‑of‑employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
