TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
Position DescriptionThe Associate Professor faculty position provides leadership in teaching, scholarship, service, and clinical practice within the School of Nursing. This faculty position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in online, classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings; fostering student success through academic advising and mentorship; engaging in scholarly activities appropriate to rank; and contributing to the mission of the School of Nursing and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) through service, professional engagement, and program development.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellence in teaching, maintains academic standards, supports curriculum development and evaluation, and contributes to the advancement of nursing education through research, scholarship, and professional practice activities. Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Nursing is dedicated to training knowledgeable, compassionate nurses and nurse practitioners to meet the critical nursing shortage in West Texas and across the nation.
For 40 years, the School of Nursing has educated new nurses, strengthened the careers of experienced nurses, and prepared innovative nurses to become leaders in health care.
- Provide academic and clinical instruction within the School of Nursing.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct educational experiences in online, classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings.
