The HSC Adjunct Faculty Member is a non-tenure track faculty position that provides didactic and/or clinical teaching support for the Undergraduate Nursing Program within the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing. The adjunctfaculty member collaborates with course faculty and program leadership to facilitate student learning, evaluate student performance, and contribute clinical expertise to support achievement of program and course outcomes.

This position reports directly to the Program Director and supports the academic mission of the School of Nursing through excellence in teaching, mentorship, and student engagement.

The ideal candidate is a clinically competent and student-focusednursing professional who is passionate about developing the next generation of nurses. This individual demonstrates excellence innursing practice, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering student success in both classroom and clinical environments.

• Assist with didactic instruction in undergraduate nursing courses as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction, supervision, and evaluation in aspecified clinical area and/or the simulation laboratory.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competency using established course and program criteria.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to faculty regarding student performance, progression, and learning achievements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned course content and learning activities.
• Facilitate student learning through effective teaching strategies, coaching, mentoring, and role modeling of professional nursing practice.
• Maintain compliance with TTUHSC, School of Nursing, clinicalagency, and accreditation standards and requirements.
• Maintain records and documentation related to instruction and student evaluation as required.
• Collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and clinical partners.
• Participate in faculty development and orientation activities as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the academicmission of the Health Sciences Center and the School of Nursing.

• Knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and healthcaretrends.
• Knowledge of principles of adult learning and studentevaluation.
• Ability to teach and supervise students in clinical and simulation environments.
• Ability to assess student learning needs and support achievement of course outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective working relationships.
• Ability to use educational technologies and electronic documentation systems.
