Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum requirements.
• Prepare lessons accommodating diverse student learning styles.
• Present subject matter following Texas Education Agency guidelines, board policies, and administrative regulations.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, activities, materials, and equipment suited to students' learning needs.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to guide instruction.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per Individual Education Plans (IEP).
• Coordinate with staff to set instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Help students improve study methods and habits.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
• Assume responsibility for assigned extracurricular activities and sponsor approved outside activities.
• Serve as a positive role model supporting the school district's mission.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students' development.
• Manage student behavior according to the Student Code of Conduct and handbook.
• Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities by taking necessary precautions.
• Assist in selecting books, equipment, and instructional materials.
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
• Use effective communication skills to present information clearly and accurately.
• Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
• Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers.
• Maintain required reports, records, and documents.
• Attend faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.

The company is looking for:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for assigned subject and level.
• Demonstrated competency in the assigned core academic subject area.
• Knowledge of the assigned core academic subject and general curriculum and instruction.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior effectively.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship experience.

• Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing.
• Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
