About the RoleWe are seeking a CAD & Design Automation Lead to support the design and standardization of large-scale mission-critical and data center controls projects nationwide. This role will focus on improving CAD workflows, drawing standards, and engineering efficiency across BAS, EPMS, SCADA, and PLC-based projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background supporting data center or other critical facility environments and experience producing high-level controls and electrical design documentation.
Responsibilities- Lead and maintain CAD standards, templates, and design workflows across mission-critical projects
- Produce and review control schematics, riser diagrams, network layouts, panel drawings, wiring diagrams, and submittal packages
- Support BAS, EPMS, SCADA, and PLC system designs for hyperscale and enterprise data center environments
- Improve engineering efficiency through drawing automation, standardization, and documentation best practices
- Collaborate with engineering, software, commissioning, and field teams throughout project execution
- Perform QA/QC reviews of drawings and design packages to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Mentor junior designers and help establish company-wide drafting standards
- 5+ years of experience supporting mission-critical, data center, or critical facility projects
- Strong AutoCAD experience required;
AutoCAD Electrical preferred - Background in BAS/BMS, EPMS, SCADA, controls integration, or industrial automation environments
- Experience developing control schematics, network diagrams, panel layouts, and electrical/control drawings
- Understanding of BACnet, Modbus, IP-based networks, and integrated control systems
- Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural plans
- Experience working with large-scale commercial or hyperscale data center projects strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation standards
