We’re looking for chemical engineering specialists who live and breathe thermodynamics, reaction engineering, process design, transport phenomena, chemical kinetics, catalysis, materials science, and biochemical engineering. You’ll challenge advanced language models on topics such as reactor optimization, heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics, phase equilibria, process safety, separation processes, polymer science, and industrial process control – documenting every failure mode so we can harden model reasoning.

• Engage with the model on real‑world engineering scenarios and theoretical chemical engineering questions.
• Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model outputs.
• Capture reproducible error traces and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

• Ph.D. in chemical engineering or closely related field (preferred).
• Experience with process simulations, lab‑scale or pilot‑plant work, or industry roles using tools such as Aspen Plus or COMSOL.
• Peer‑reviewed publications and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent metacognitive communication skills – ability to “show your work” and explain reasoning.

Pay range of $8–$65 per hour, with exact rate determined after evaluating your experience, expertise, and geographic location. As a contractor you’ll supply your own secure computer and high‑speed internet; company‑sponsored benefits, such as health insurance and PTO, do not apply.
