Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the interpretation and application of Title 49 Part 192 regulations Pipeline integrity assessment mechanisms: ECDA, ICDA, Cased Crossing ECDA, and In‑line inspection Experience with the analysis and interpretation of assessment data to determine direct examination locations Technical report writing Cathodic protection system design, installation, and testing Applicable NACE certification categories Cathodic Protection General Corrosion Pipeline Corrosion Integrity Management Direct Assessment
Primary Duties- Construction of new and maintenance of existing pipeline systems including selection of materials, development of procedures, compliance with applicable codes and inspection of work in progress;
- Evaluation of leakage survey effectiveness;
- Assisting in the design, monitoring and analysis of pipeline system including regulation, measurement, curtailment and loss or gain of natural gas;
- Compliance with Federal, state and local rules and regulations;
- Design of system mains, regulator and meter settings and corrosion control protection.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Valid driver's license.
- Communication: ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical concepts to individuals with or without experience or knowledge of the technical area.
- Numeric: ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric and geometric operations and/or moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods.
- Computer: advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and graphics.
Works in an office environment, occasionally outdoors. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting. As a Safety‑Sensitive position, pre and post‑employment screenings, including but not limited to drug testing as outlined by the Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), and motor vehicle record (MVR) background checks are required.
