Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Mechanical Engineer role located in the Lubbock‑Levelland Area. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead complex product development projects from concept through production release, designing innovative, reliable, and cost‑effective mechanical systems for industrial and manufacturing applications. Responsibilities include creating and validating CAD models, performing engineering analysis and simulation, leading machine design efforts, managing project timelines, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure products meet performance, quality, manufacturability, and safety requirements.
The role will also support continuous improvement initiatives, mentor junior engineers, drive product reliability enhancements, and advance simulation and modeling capabilities through tools such as COMSOL Multiphysics. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will work closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to develop practical engineering solutions that align with business objectives.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong expertise in Mechanical Engineering principles, analytical problem‑solving, and product development
- Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer‑Aided Design (CAD), preferably Autodesk Inventor
- Experience with engineering simulation and analysis; COMSOL Multiphysics experience preferred
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Epicor ERP
- Proven project management and leadership experience with the ability to lead engineering projects from concept through release
- Experience improving product reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
- Background in Research and Development (R&D) and innovative product design
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience mentoring and developing engineering talent
- Ability to work on‑site in the Lubbock‑Levelland Area
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus
