Job Title

Design, manage, and support electric transmission, distribution, and substation projects while leading engineering efforts, coordinating with construction and operations teams, and improving the reliability, safety, and performance of utility infrastructure.

Location

Lubbock, Texas

Compensation

$103,896 annually ($49.95/hour)

Job Function

Design and manage transmission, distribution, street lighting, and substation projects.

Perform system studies including load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, protection coordination, and transformer sizing.

Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.

Coordinate with construction, operations, customers, and stakeholders.

Support distribution, substation, planning, SCADA, communications, and NERC/CIP initiatives.

Supervise engineering staff and manage contracts.

Respond to system emergencies and support restoration efforts.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.

Four or more years of electric distribution engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

Registered Professional Engineer (PE).

Valid Texas Driver's License.

Knowledge of utility transmission, distribution, and substation engineering.

Experience with CAD, GIS, SCADA, and engineering analysis software.

Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to prepare technical reports and supervise engineering staff.
