As CFO, you will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, leading all financial functions of the organization. You will oversee financial strategy, planning, reporting, compliance, and risk management while building scalable systems to support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all accounting and financial operations, including corporate, development, and construction accounting
- Manage and mentor a team of 4–5 accounting professionals
- Drive financial strategy, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Develop and enhance financial models, controls, and reporting systems
- Oversee audits, tax strategy, and compliance in coordination with external partners (CPA firms, auditors, legal, and lenders)
- Establish and maintain GAAP-compliant accounting policies and procedures
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Partner with ownership and leadership on financial performance and strategic initiatives
- Implement process improvements, automation, and system efficiencies
- Strengthen risk management practices, including financial controls and cybersecurity measures
- 5–7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Experience managing cash flow, audits, and compliance
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast‑paced environment
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Based in Lubbock, Texas
- Occasional travel for business needs, meetings, and industry events
