Position
Description:
Analyzes and coordinates office services such as personnel, budget preparation and control, fiscal affairs, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies.

Pay Grade Maximum: 21
Major/Essential Functions- Develop and manage the department's annual budget as well as prepare budget projections and monitor budget performance.
- Provide re-budget advice and financial planning to the Managing Director.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate records for departmental revenue and expenses.
- Generate and analyze financial reports using the Banner system and Cognos reports preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for review by the Managing Director.
- Manage the invoicing process for fees, educational grants, exhibit fees, and other revenue streams. Ensure timely and accurate deposits of cash, checks, and credit card payments.
- Oversee departmental purchasing, including equipment, supplies, and services.
- Ensure adherence to university policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all financial activities maintaining confidentiality and security of financial data.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required, implementing risk management strategies to safeguard departmental resources.
- Assist in meeting the Joint Accreditation defined Educational Leadership criterion by partaking in continuous professional development relevant to CME/CPD enterprise.
- Provide financial training and support to departmental staff. Stay updated with financial best practices and regulatory changes.
- Serves as unit safety officer.
- Assist in the development and financial management of accredited continuing education programs.
- Oversees property inventory management.
- Supports the production of educational activities.
- Accurately enter data for PARS reports to meet accreditation and reporting requirements.

Flexibility required for early mornings or afternoons based on conference and event needs.
Work Location:
Lubbock
- Degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for financial modeling and analysis.
- Experience explaining complex financial concepts.
- Knowledge of risk management and best practices in financial management.
- Experience with conference and event financial management.
- Experience with Banner and Cognos, particularly as it relates to reconciling department records to Cognos reports.
