12 month Fixed Term Contract
We’re seeking a commercially focused Senior Finance Business Partner to play a pivotal role in supporting a high‑impact, contract‑led healthcare organisation.
This is a genuine business‑partnering opportunity where you’ll work closely with senior operational leaders, providing insight, challenge and financial leadership across complex services that deliver care at scale.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll be the primary finance lead for your Business Unit, combining strong technical capability with commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management.
What you’ll be doing- Owning monthly management accounts, forecasts and performance reporting for a defined Business Unit
- Providing clear, insightful financial analysis to support operational and commercial decision‑making
- Leading annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities early
- Acting as the first point of financial contact for Heads of Operations and Service Managers
- Supporting major contracts, contract variations and negotiations with robust financial insight
- Driving cost control, supplier performance and revenue optimisation
- Supporting workforce planning and managing pay spend against budget
- Maintaining strong balance sheet discipline and cashflow control
- Explaining financial performance clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
- Improving controls, processes and ways of working across the finance function
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent), or strong part‑qualified with relevant experience
- Proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering role within a complex, multi‑stakeholder organisation
- Confident engaging, influencing and challenging senior operational leaders
- Strong commercial mindset, not just technical accounting expertise
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Experience in healthcare, NHS or regulated services is advantageous but not essential
- A true Senior Finance BP role with influence and autonomy
- Home‑based working with meaningful operational engagement
- Exposure to senior leadership and complex, commercially driven services
