Job Purpose:

Credit Analyst evaluates commercial and personal financial information to assess creditworthiness of loan applicants. This role supports the loan decision-making process by preparing detailed credit summaries, presenting key financial insights, and contributing to loan committee discussions.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather, spread, and analyze customer financial information, including but not limited to financial statements, tax returns, business plans, credit reports, industry data, etc.

Prepare credit write-ups and loan committee presentations that clearly outline risks and recommendations that meet compliance with bank’s loan policies.

Advise lenders and loan committees by providing insight and clarification regarding financial information and borrower risk.

Assist in the preparation of monthly board and management reports, or other projects as assigned.

Conduct portfolio monitoring and management activities, including periodic financial statement reviews and covenant tracking as assigned.

Accompany lenders on customer site visits and inspections to gather qualitative and operational insights.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education / Qualification and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance required.

Related banking or analytical experience is preferred.

Proficient in spreadsheet (Excel) and Word software.

Demonstrated mathematical and analytical ability with strong attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal, organization, communications, and customer relations skills.

Familiarity with financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and credit risk fundamentals is a plus.
