Job Details

What You Will Be Doing

• Counsel students and families one-on-one about financial aid options and eligibility
• Guide students through forms like FAFSA, MPN, and institutional documents
• Evaluate financial aid applications and determine award eligibility
• Package aid (grants, loans, scholarships, work-study) in compliance with regulations
• Educate students on budgeting, financial literacy, and loan repayment
• Conduct entrance and exit loan interviews per federal guidelines
• Collaborate with other departments and support financial aid workshops and outreach

Skills You Need

• At least 1 year of financial aid or customer service experience (required)
• Strong knowledge of federal and state aid regulations (preferred)
• Proficiency with financial aid systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to build rapport, explain complex info clearly, and manage sensitive data
