Overview
EMT Flight Paramedic
Responsible for delivery of quality care for critically ill or injured in the air medical or ground transportation environment without supervision. Highly skilled in airway management and able to interact with physicians and other healthcare facilities. The Flight Paramedic must be able to care for patients using assessment skills and written standards when physician contact is not possible. The role requires implementation, coordination, and ensuring compliance with Covenant Health System policies and procedures.
Maintains a responsible attitude toward appropriate and efficient management of medical operations within the scope of services of the Specialty Transport Program.

Responsibilities- This posting is for multiple openings of a EMT Flight Paramedic.
- Role is onsite and reports onsite daily as scheduled.
- Must be located within a commutable distance of the listed office location.
- Texas:
Lubbock - Flexible and available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on departmental needs and operational requirements.
- Flexible and available to work on a variable shift which may include days, evenings, or nights shifts.

Variable Shift – 36hrs schedule
- Successful completion and maintenance of Department of State Health Services or National Registry approved Paramedic training program/certification/license.
- Texas Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems OR Texas Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems (Upon hire).
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
- National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
- Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers must comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Proof of driver license and auto insurance may be requested. See policy for additional information.
- 10 or more years of recent experience as EMT-P with an active 911 service or flight service.
- NREMT-P, NRP, or ENPC
- BTLS or PHTLS provider certification
- Certification as a Critical Care Paramedic or Flight Paramedic
- 3 or more years of experience in flight medicine
- Trainer of Instructor experience (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP).

Posted are the minimum and maximum wage rates for this position. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. This is the base pay range; additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
