Echocardiograph Technologist Pediatrics

The job of an Echocardiograph Technologist Pediatrics is a highly specialized position which involves all aspects of echo imaging of patients with known or suspected congenital or acquired heart disease. This primary pediatric position will include imaging a broad range of patient ages and sizes using all available ultrasound imaging modalities. Patient exam types will include the range of fetal, neonatal, childhood, adolescent, and adult patients.

Provision of services will involve inpatient and outpatient examinations. Inpatient evaluations will include all available modalities including transthoracic. Outpatient evaluations will include transthoracic, and vascular studies.

Important Details
  • This is an onsite position, requiring daily attendance at the designated location.
  • Candidates must reside within commutable distance of the following office location:
    Texas:
    Lubbock.
  • Flexibility to work a day, evening, or night shift as scheduled.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on operational and departmental requirements.
  • Positions specified as "on call/per diem" refer to employment consisting of shifts scheduled on an "as needed basis" to fill in for staff vacancies.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate from a formally approved and accredited Cardiac Sonographer program.
  • Coursework/Training: 12 months of training/evaluation required for pediatric cardiology studies concurrently or successively at the discretion of the Medical Director of the Pediatric Echo Lab.
  • Upon hire:
    National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire – OR – National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Upon hire:
    National Provider BLS – American Heart Association required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – Adult Echocardiography upon hire.
  • National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – Fetal Echocardiography upon hire.
  • National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – Fetal Echocardiography upon hire.

Pay Range

Base pay range: $35.70 - $55.42 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
