The House Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating patient care services (primarily nursing services) within an assigned specialty or sub‑specialty area of a clinic. Persons in this position provide supervision and coordination of service to subordinate nursing personnel and may provide various levels of direct patient care. Work is performed under usual clinic conditions.
TTUHSC Managed Care is launching new House Supervisor (RN) positions for the Montford Unit in Lubbock, TX. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced RN to help define the role, set expectations, and build strong night‑shift operations from the ground up. You’ll serve as the primary onsite leader overnight, overseeing both Psychiatric and Medical units and ensuring nursing operations run smoothly when leadership coverage is limited.
Major/EssentialFunctions
- Provide onsite administrative and nursing leadership during night shift
- Oversee staffing, call‑ins, after‑hours triage, and emergency response
- Hold Charge Nurses accountable to nursing standards and policies
- Support patient care as needed and ensure continuity of care
- Serve as the after‑hours point of contact for utilization management and TDCJ
- Communicate key updates to day leadership and help set day shift staffing needs
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications- Graduate from an approved accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or ability to obtain a Texas license
- At least four years in nursing, with at least two of those years in a supervisory capacity
- RN with inpatient experience (medical preferred; psych training provided)
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting

Pay Basis:
Monthly
Pay Grade Minimum: $90,000 annually
Pay Grade Maximum: $96,000 annually
